Scope and Contents The letter, sent from Northwick Lodge, Harrow on the Hill, talks about Jones's health over the past year and congratulates Wilcockson on getting his book accepted by Macmillan [possibly 'Selections from Piers Plowman', edited with an introduction and notes by Colin Wilcockson, 1965]. Jones wishes Wilcockson was with him to discuss language and notes he is trying to learn a little more Welsh and Latin. Jones also talks of 'The Dream of the Rood' poem he had recently heard on the radio. Later...

He also mentions Westmorland [John Fane, 10th Earl of Westmorland] eloping with Miss Child [Sarah Anne Child] and the astonishment caused.
